Do I need to see my dentist during my orthodontic treatment?

It is important  to continue regular dental check-ups and cleanings during your orthodontic treatment.  In some cases, it may be advised to see your dentist or hygienist more frequently during your orthodontic care.  

Should I remove my archwire before my dentist appointment?

Your dental hygienist will be pleased if your archwire is not present during the cleaning appointment.  We will coordinate the removal of your archwire prior to your dental hygiene cleaning appointment.  Please call our office at (858) 755-9990 to arrange these appointments.

For some patients it will be recommended to see your hygienist for more frequent cleanings during orthodontic treatment.
